Uruguayan writer Mario Delgado Aparain has published three collections of short stories and five novels. He has won numerous prizes, including the 2001 Rulfo for one of his short stories, “Terrible green eyes”; the Municipal Literature Prize for his novel “The ballad of Johnny Sosa” and the Bartolome Hidalgo Prize for his novel “You shall not steal dead people's boots”.
